Photorejuvenation

Say Bye to Damaged Skin!

Photorejuvenation (also known as IPL or Photofacial) is a popular procedure in which high energy light waves are used to reduce or eliminate many common effects of aging, including facial wrinkles and skin discolorations.

During the procedure, intense pulses of light are used to penetrate deep into the skin. This light spectrum is attracted to any discoloration in the skin and to the collagen in the skin. Through the body's natural healing process, these discolorations are reduced and new collagen production is encouraged.

Body & Soul Clinic's well trained team will work with you to determine the most effective treatment plan and get you started on the path to healthier looking skin.

Benefits

Photorejuvenation helps to:

  • Improve Colour & Texture of Skin

  • Reduce Brown Spots

  • Decrease Redness & Blood Vessels

  • Reduce Pore Size and Fine Lines & Wrinkles

  • Reverse Sun Damage

  • Improve Acne Scarring

Who is it for?

Photorejuvenation is suitable for individuals with:

  • Redness, Discolouration, & Small veins

  • Sun damaged skin

  • Rosacea

  • Enlarged pores

  • Brown spots, age spots and freckles

  • Fine lines and light scarring

Is it Safe?

Photorejuvenation is considered to be one of the safest light-based skin treatments. Most patients experience little or no pain during the procedure and some have reported that the light pulses feel similar to a light "snap" from a rubber band.

While there have been very few long-term side effects to the treatment, the most common have been redness and minor inflammation. These effects typically subside within a couple hours to a week after the treatment.

However, it is recommended to protect your skin from the sun post treatment and to use sun protection. The treatment has minimal downtime and you can continue with your normal activities after the treatment.
